The Innovation Creativity & Excellence Centre

Meeting students where they are

Our goal in the ICE Centre is to support teachers in providing learning experiences that develop 21st Century skills; creativity, communication and collaborative skills, problem solving capabilities and the ability to self-assess their own learning. These are the skills that students will need in tomorrow’s workforce.

"Whosoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times." - Niccolo Machiavelli

The ICE Centre will develop, manage and operate a variety of complementary projects for SCAS students. These projects will target identified needs within the School and address them in an effective, innovative and responsible manner. Our aim is to provide innovative and individualised learning activities that cater to the students' strengths and allows them to fully participate in the School’s learning mission.

This means a program that:

  • Acknowledges and fosters academic excellence in all its forms
  • Recognises that some students need a range of different opportunities to truly “shine”
  • Uses digital technology to enhance learning for all students
  • Engages parents actively and positively in the education of their children
  • Reflects sound educational experience and research combined with an innovative approach
