Jazz Band @ SCAS

This group, which was formed in 2003, is a specialist Jazz Ensemble. The group is an auditioned ensemble, and provides opportunities for students to develop the appropriate etiquette and techniques needed for small jazz performance. Students perform both at school and in the wider community at a variety of events and concerts.

Senior  Band @ SCAS

The SCAS Senior  Concert Band is an auditioned group open to all students. This band gives students an opportunity to experience playing a wide range of music repertoire. The Senior Band is under the direction of Mr Mark Brown, Head of Creative Arts.

Stage Band @ SCAS

This year SCAS has commenced a Stage Band to provide further musical avenues for a advanced music students. The ensemble will be under the direction of Mr Brown and Mrs Parer.

Stage band consists of a standard rhythm section (drums, piano, bass and guitar) plus a full horn section (trumpets, saxes and trombone). In addition there will be 4 to 5 vocalists. 

Rock Band @ SCAS

The SCAS Rock Band meets on Friday afternoons and involves students interested in this activity in Middle or Secondary School.

Junior Band @ SCAS

The SCAS Junior Band meets on a weekly basis and is the first introduction for many students to playing in a group. Students from Kindergarten are invited to join this Band.

Activities include Comprehensive Instrumental Music Programme, Choir, Vocal groups, Bands, Various ensembles, Elective Dance and Drama, School Plays and Musicals, Music and Drama Festivals, Participation in community events, Competitions, Eisteddfods, AMEB Tuition.

Music Craft @ SCAS

Music craft lessons are available for those interested in this Australian Music Education Board (AMEB) program. Examinations are available from the AMEB board.
