Interact is a School based arm of Rotary Australia. Our School enjoys a close association with the Sunrise Rotary Club in Port Macquarie. Our youth officer, Jan Crombie makes regular visits to the School and attends Interact Meetings which are held every fortnight.
The purpose of Interact is to bring together young people in Schools to raise money for their chosen charity, both locally and internationally. Students who are involved in Interact attend regular meetings and discuss ways in which they might support their chosen charity. Members of Interact are also eligible to attend Rotary’s Model United Nations Forum (MUNA) which brings together Interact members from across the state to debate topical political and social issues.

2008 saw the Interact club raise money for their chosen charity through running a social, manning the canteen for the drama production and selling stickers. The 2008 fundraising distributions included: $1300 for the “Forget me not” foundation; $100 for “Polio Plus”; $450 dollars to the adopt a school programme in Nepal.
Students from Years 9 to 12 are eligible to join the Interact Club.
