Higher School Certificate

The NSW Higher School Certificate is a two year NSW based program and internationally recognised graduating credential run by the NSW Board of Studies. It uses both school-based assessments and externally administered examinations to calculate an ATAR mark for students. The approach to assessment and the nature of academic standards required by the HSC prepares students for future studies. At St Columba our teaching staff ensure that students are well supported in their academic studies. Each student has the benefit of the guidance of a Careers Advisor, a Year Patron, Tutor and their own Academic Mentor. Our consistently excellent HSC Results are a reflection of this. The St Columba Anglican School curriculum in Year 11 and Year 12 is designed to prepare students for the Higher School Certificate and we offer students a broad range of specialist staff members and one on one tutoring support, as well as on-campus study rooms.
