Scholarships
“Starting strong is good. Finishing strong is epic.” – Robyn Sharma.
To acknowledge and encourage excellence, St Columba Anglican School offers a limited number of scholarships to students entering Year 7 and Year 11. Indigenous Scholarships are also available for students entering Kindergarten to Year 12.
These scholarships will offer students the opportunity to join the School and be a part of the academic, cultural, sporting and leadership programs that have made the School the choice of students who aim for post-school academic and leadership success.
We are also pleased to announce two new scholarships for 2025: the SCAS Foundation Scholarship and the St Thomas’ Bicentennial Scholarship. Find out more below.
Applications for the SCAS Foundation Scholarship and St Thomas’ Bicentennial Scholarship close on Friday, 13 September, 2024
The SCAS Foundation Scholarship
The SCAS Foundation is proud to offer a fully funded, means-tested scholarship, providing deserving students with the opportunity to pursue an exceptional education in Years 11 and 12.
This scholarship is made possible through the generous support of our parents, local businesses, and the wider community, whose contributions empower us to invest in the future of our students.
We encourage students entering Year 11 in 2025, who have demonstrated academic excellence, to apply and seize this opportunity to further their educational journey and unlock a world of opportunities.
The St Thomas' Anglican Church Bicentennial Christian Leadership Scholarship
The scholarship aims to assist and encourage meritorious students who have demonstrated excellence in Christian leadership and community service, cultivating them to be the next generation of leaders in our society. It seeks to recognise students who demonstrate their commitment to God through strong faith, integrity, and a commitment to a local church community.
We firmly believe in fostering a community where faith, leadership, and service go hand in hand. Through this scholarship, we aim to nurture individuals who will not only excel academically, but also make a profound difference in their communities and beyond.
The scholarship, offered by St Thomas’ Anglican Church of Port Macquarie, covers the cost of tuition fees for Years 10, 11, and 12.
St Columba offers scholarships to students who demonstrate excellence, combined with a high degree of personal commitment and involvement in a range of School activities. Students benefit from scholarships as their particular interest, skills, efforts and abilities are recognised. Other students gain from the contribution made by these students and their positive example. Our School benefits by using its scholarship system to support excellence in its various forms.
St Columba Anglican School has a reputation for providing students with an outstanding and holistic education, and our highly sought-after Scholarship program ensures that we attract the best talent from across the region.
St Columba is pleased to offer the following scholarships:
Access Scholarships for Year 7 and Year 11
These Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who will thrive academically and personally at St Columba, and who will, in turn, make a significant contribution to the life of the School. While financial need will be strongly considered, awards may be based on a combination of factors, including financial need; the academic, professional, or other accomplishments of the candidate; obstacles overcome by the candidate; contributions to the local community; the candidate’s interest in pursuing a SCAS education.
Arts Scholarships for Year 11
Arts Scholarships are awarded in Dance, Music and Drama to students of high-level artistic ability on the basis of an audition, interview and giving consideration to academic merit. Selected students will be invited to undertake an audition.
Christian Leadership Scholarships for Year 10
The purpose of the St Thomas’ Bicentennial Christian Leadership Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious students who have demonstrated excellence in Christian leadership and community service, cultivating them to be the next generation of leaders in our society. It seeks to recognise students who demonstrate their commitment to God through strong faith, integrity, and a commitment to a local church community.
