Co-curricular activities
Sport
Sport at SCAS aims to achieve excellence through pursuing sports performance, whilst fostering participation and involvement.
A diversified co-curricular sporting program offers students the opportunity to participate in a range of individual and team sports and provides pathways to representative selection. Sporting excellence is underpinned by structuring involvement and exposure to a variety of selected sports for all students and developing and enhancing sports performance through participation in strategic initiatives for selected students. SCAS is recognised for sporting success at a local, regional, state and national level.
Performing arts
St Columba’s Co-curricular Performing Arts program is acknowledged as one of the best and most comprehensive Performing Arts programs in the region. The ever-expanding program encourages students of all abilities from Kindergarten to Year 12 to develop their talents under the guidance of a team of passionate teaching professionals.
We currently have 30 ensembles across the three disciplines of Music, Dance and Drama, with over 80% of students involved in one or more of these ensembles. Students participate in regional and State ensembles, festivals, eisteddfods, musicals, productions, exhibitions and camps, as well as several school performance nights throughout the year.
Clubs
Clubs at SCAS recognise that education does not only occur in the classroom but on the sporting fields, practice rooms, stages and many other areas where students might learn and excel.
Our clubs include Chess Club, Gardening Club, Interact Club, Art Club, Sustainability Committee, Robotics Team, French Club and Knitting Club.
